This free business marathon has been organized by the City of Toronto’s Department of Economic Development and the Latin American Bilateral Trade Initiative (LABTI), a group made up of the consulates of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela, together with the City of Toronto.
The program begins with breakfast and networking, opened by Councillor Michael Thompson, Head of Toronto’s Economic Development Department and Director of the LABTI advisory committee. This will be followed by presentations by Enterprise Toronto and panelists from the food, apparel and design sectors, among others. There will also be a panel of Hispanic business leaders who have “made it” in Canada, and the day will conclude with presentations on trade agreements between Canada and different Latin American countries, presented by directors of business promotion from the governments of the countries concerned.
